The audit

We look before we sell.

Two parts. One is free and automatic and costs us nothing, so we give it away. The other is the actual product, and it is the reason the rest of this site can be honest about what it does not know.

Free

The Front-Door Report

Answer twenty-two questions about how your business runs. It takes about two minutes and we do not ask for a password to anything.

It is free because it costs us nothing. Everything in it is public. You could gather it yourself in an afternoon — most owners never do, because the one thing nobody does is look at their own business the way a stranger does.

01

Your listing

What shows up when somebody searches for what you do near where they are. Hours, service area, categories, and whether the basics are right.

02

Your reviews, and whether they get answered

How recent they are, and what happens to the ones nobody replied to.

03

The contact path on a phone

Somebody taps your number, your form or your booking link on a phone. We follow that path and note where it breaks, stalls, or asks too much.

04

One business you are competing with

The same checks on one comparable Austin business in your trade, so the finding has something to sit against.

Paid

The Clarity Audit

The free report shows what is visible from outside. The audit shows what is happening inside, which is where the money actually is.

We interview you for an hour. Then we interview the person who answers your phone and the person who does your invoicing, for half an hour each. Separately. Confidentially — nothing anyone tells us goes back to anyone else, and nothing personal goes in the report.

The way a business runs on paper and the way it runs on Tuesday are two different businesses.

The gap between them is where your hours are going. Nobody is lying. They just have not had the conversation.

What you get

  • Your operations on one page, split three ways: how work comes in, how it gets delivered, how customers get supported
  • Every friction point sorted into two piles: things eating hours, and things that will blow up later
  • A grid — high impact and cheap, high impact and expensive, nice to have, and the useful one: do not bother
  • One page per recommendation: what happens now, what to do instead, what it gains you, what it costs to do
  • A ninety-day plan in order, starting with the small things, because businesses that start with the big impressive thing get nothing back
  • The arithmetic, built from your actual wages and your actual hours. Not our averages. Yours.

What it costs

Priced on interviews, not hours.

A three-person shop is one price; a fifteen-person company is another, because there is genuinely more to find. You will know the number on our first call, and you will know why it is that number — we work it out in front of you from who does what in your business.

The moment anyone prices this by the hour, they are a freelancer with a nicer invoice. We are not selling hours. We are selling the thing you can only get by sitting three people down separately and listening properly.

The report is yours.

If you read it and decide to do the work yourself, that is a completely acceptable outcome and we will answer questions about it. Some audits should end with “keep your person, fix these two other things, call us in a year.”

And if you do hire us to build it, the entire audit fee comes off the build.

What we will not do.

We will not give you a number before we have looked at your business. We will not promise you more calls, a better ranking, a review count or a close rate. If somebody hands you that figure in a first meeting, they made it up.

Begin

Tell us where to look.

It goes to Shawn, not to a mailing list. He reads these himself, looks at your business in public first, and comes back with what he found — usually inside two working days.

No card. No password to anything. No call unless you ask for one. If you would rather just talk, the number is 512-474-7900.

If the audit finds something, it turns into one thing. Not a package.

You pick it afterwards, based on what was found. We do not sell all of it and we do not sell any of it before we have looked.
